HOUSE ILL is a small private house located in a picturesque place 30 km from Riga. The site borders on a forest and is located near the Gulf of Riga. The separate arrangement of buildings (house and garage) on the site is due to the fact that they were built on previously existing foundations. The buildings are connected by a terrace. The house is functionally divided into two parts: main and guest areas. The connection between the zones is carried out through a covered passage through the building, which visually connects the courtyard with the forest.
For the exterior decoration and covering of the terrace, a Latvian barn board impregnated with a hydrophobic compound was used. The roof and facades of the house are finished with anthracite steel seam panels. On the side of the guest house there is a small canopy and a mini – terrace for storing firewood for a wood stove in the living room. An outdoor shower is located on the terrace on the side of the master bedroom.
