This new construction, approximately 2,500 s.f. homes are placed on much of the Manhattan coast. Housing placement and masses are a response to local zoning codes and internal programmatic needs.
Turn the south wing of the house sixteen degrees towards the San Gabriel Mountains and Downtown LA. It also helps internal and external spaces feel more dynamic.
The exterior stucco and cedar cladding carried inward into the central staircase and circulation space. This is a new construction project entirely undertaken by Walker Workshop and we complete the project on time and within budget.
This building has large openings in the form of large glass windows to enjoy the view from the top of the hill and functions as access to sunlight and natural ventilation. Especially in the staircase area which is on one side of the house so that this area does not become dark and lacks light.
The kitchen set in the kitchen is made with a neat and clean concept. By using wood, the storage cabinet looks integrated with the wall.
