Modern Gable is a private residence located in southern Vermont. This house is located in the south, facing sloping meadows with views of distant mountains. Dorset Peak, to the north, is firmly rooted in the context of the mountain house. The aesthetic project was inspired by the familiar steep gable from Vermont. The alignment of the flat roof of the adjacent structure and the clean lines of the shape of the gable house reflect contemporary language.
The exterior material palette combines horizontal sides in contrasting black cedar colored with natural extruded coff and finished soffit sides. flat gable extensions and make visual envelopes for vision and large glass compositions. Likewise, the entrance facade is hidden in the folds of the roof and walls. All interior walls and ceilings are covered with natural cedar uniforms for the final result.
